Housing authorities. Names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, programs and unit counts come from HUD's Public Housing Authorities dataset (last update: October 6, 2026). We fix obvious formatting problems (for example names cut off by HUD's 45-character field) without changing the substance.
Income limits. HUD USER Section 8 income limits for FY2026, by county (by town in New England).
Rents. HUD USER Fair Market Rents for FY2027, in effect since October 1, 2026.
What we do not publish. We do not publish waiting list status or office hours, because there is no reliable official source for them; we tell readers to confirm with the agency instead.
Guides. Based on HUD regulations (24 CFR parts 5, 960 and 982) and HUD program pages, linked at the end of each guide. Amounts that HUD updates every year are not stated as fixed numbers.
Updates. We refresh the HUD data when HUD publishes new versions of the datasets. Corrections from readers are verified against the official source before we change anything: [email protected].
